How to Berlin in 2 Days

Challenge accepted. I have been to Berlin two times before so I already saw a lot but I’m sure there is a lot more to see than I did! So we decided to travel there by car in a group of four. It took us 8 hours on from the western to the eastern part of Germany (our way back home took us 7 hours because we didn’t have much traffic going on).

We checked in at our hostel: the „Industriepalast“ – if you ever go to Berlin, go there to sleep! It’s cheap, it’s clean, it’s central, it’s colorful – what more do you want?

The first evening we discovered Friedrichshain which is an area of Berlin – it’s my favorite!  It’s very trendy, you can find a lot of boutiques, cool cafés & restaurants and street artists. The atmosphere there is very relaxed.

Because two of our group haven’t been to Berlin before we decided to show them the „must-see“ sightseeings. Before we went off for that we had breakfast at „Wahrhaft Nahrhaft“ in Friedrichshain right around the corner – I had a bagel with Avocado and iced coffee. Loved it!

So we did some touristy stuff and in the evening we had some drinks and went to a sweet and small Shishabar in Kreuzberg. It was a typical nice evening you can have with good friends.

We spent our last day on a flea market at the Mauerpark – perfect ending for the trip. I love flea markets because you can snatch unique treasures there which I did: a bracelet with a map of our beautiful world. Where I live we don’t have special kind of food, it’s like everywhere. But on the flea market we found a lot of food from different cultures: mexican, korean, chinese, turkish, arabic and much more.

After strolling around for some hours we left the market and went back home.

You don’t need a week to discover a place – although you can do everything more chilly and take more time for some things. But as we proved it’s also possible to do it in a 2 days get away.

Love,

Sarah

Ben Brown, we tried to imitate the beautiful picture you took at the same place some time ago – like yours more but I think we did it pretty well for the first try 🙂
